So, What the heck is a Two Stage cylinder?
What is It? A two stage cylinder is a cylinder that has an opening of one diameter, the tube extends for
an inch or two, and then is physically joined to another cylinder with a larger diameter. The connection
is continuous, ie. glued together so that no air can escape.
Why use it? The smaller opening allows you to pump your cock and balls while minimizing the amount of abdomen that is also sucked into the cylinder. The larger second part allows your balls to pump to some impressive dimensions.
Any Risks? The usual pumping precautions apply...with some added items of concern. Depending on the difference between the diameters of the two parts and the amount of time that you pump, you may get so huge that your balls will not retreat past the smaller part of the cylinder. The only solution using these types of cylinders is to wait and let the balls shrink a bit and try later. This has happened to me a few times- more often after a "Marathon" pump session.
Why are they so expensive? Because of the increased complexity and gluing, costs to manufacture increase. I presume that there is a higher markup on these items too, because of the demand for them.
Sources: Not sure of all of the suppliers....but try Mirza, Boston Pump Works, San Francisco Pump Works, and Northwest Pump Works. The MonsterNuts site also has twostage cylinders at a much reduced price. There are links to Mirza, SF Pump Works and MonsterNuts on my links page. Working on contact info for other companies.
Any alternatives? There are three that I know of. Both utilize hinges to allow you to pump to huge sizes without worrying about being able to get out of the cylinder. One I have only head about while chatting once with the person who makes them (I think Toymaker in Texas.) I have no further info on it...lost his email. If you have it, I'd greatly appreciate getting it.
The other two are called the Monster cylinders, manufactured by a guy in New York. This has a different shape-like a teardrop. Huge expansion can be realized. There is also a junior model. However the price is prohibitively expensive - around $260. Contact information to be forthcoming.
